Yes, on every tier. You supply a key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or a local Ollama endpoint. The key is injected at spawn-time and never persisted to disk. The daemon does the extraction and compile work; the model provider only ever sees the prompt you would have sent it anyway.

The Community daemon is licensed AGPL-3.0. You can run it, read it, and modify it for free, forever. The obligation only applies if you offer a modified version of the daemon to other people over a network. Running it for yourself or your own team carries no such requirement. The hosted tiers exist for people who would rather not operate the daemon at all.

On Community, everything stays on your machine: the wiki is markdown on disk and the facts are a store you can grep. Nothing leaves unless you say so. On the hosted tiers, your wiki and chain live in our managed store; Team and Compliance can pin a region at provisioning time. We never train on your content.

Deletes are reversible for 7 days. A deleted wiki, page, or workspace is soft-deleted and can be restored in full, hash chain intact, within that window. After 7 days the data is purged and the deletion itself is recorded as a signed entry in the audit log, so the gap is accounted for rather than silent.

Compliance is for teams that have to prove what their AI knew and when. It adds retention policies, an immutable audit log, a redaction log, and signed Compliance Packs you can hand to an auditor and they can verify on a clean machine with no daemon running. It is live and sellable today, not a roadmap item.
